SIOUX CITY | David L. Gleiser, 79, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, June 16, 2016, at his home.

Per his request, no services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home.

David was born on Sept. 10, 1936, in Detroit, Mich., the son of Lester and Eleanor (McKay) Gleiser. He was raised in Detroit and graduated from Annunciation High School in Detroit. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1954. He was discharged in 1957. While in the service, he was stationed in Sioux City. He was a tool and die maker for many years and retired at the age of 65.

David is survived by his four children, Larry and Denice Gleiser, Ronald Gleiser, Pam Gleiser, and Rick Gleiser, all of Sioux City; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Phyllis and Gordie Allen and Beverly Gordon, all of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
