SIOUX CITY | Julie (Moses) Strong, 40, of Sioux City passed away Monday, June 20, 2016, at home after battling breast cancer for more than two and a half years.

Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1201 West Clifton Ave., in Sioux City. Visitation will follow the service Friday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be offered online at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Julie was born on April 13, 1976, in Caldwell, Idaho, the daughter of Clyde and Dolores Moses. Julie graduated from Parma High School in 1994 and then earned a bachelor of arts degree from Brigham Young University in 1998.

Julie married Eric Strong on Aug. 19, 1997, at Manti Utah Temple. They had two wonderful children, Casey and Emily. Julie worked from home as a professional genealogist while raising her two children. Julie loved to travel, garden, hike, and spend time with family and friends.

Julie was loved by all. She was a fun-loving, hardworking, compassionate woman and an example of service to all. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and held many church positions working especially with the youth.

Julie is survived by her husband, Eric Strong; son, Casey; daughter, Emily; parents, Clyde and Dolores Moses; two sisters, Jenifer (Michael) Begay, and Janey (John) Knipe; two brothers, Clyde H. (Mandy) Moses, and Pete (Erin) Moses; 18 nieces and nephews; and in-laws, John and Jennie Lin Strong.

Julie was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Suzanne Strong.
