Victor H. Moore, 71, of rural Oto died Sunday, May 19, 1985, in his home of an apparent heart attack.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, in St. John Evangelical Church in German City near Holly Springs. The Rev. Walter Enstrom officiated. Burial was in Bethel-Piero Cemetery, rural Anthon. Masonic services were held in the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon, May 21, 1985, at 8 p.m.

Pallbearers were Richard Lillie, Clifford Carman, Mark Coyne, Larry Bumsted, Ariel Carman and Daryl Carr.

Mr. Moore was born April 6, 1914, rural Anthon, to Frank and Bertha (Burkhart) Moore. He was a lifelong Anthon-Oto area farmer, except for two years he lived in California. He married Ione Allman on October 3, 1942, in Ponca, Nebraska. They lived the last ten winters in Texas.

Mr. Moore was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Anthon, past director of the Farm Bureau, Cerulean Masonic Lodge 550, Order of Eastern Star, Thonna Chapter 423 and the Sioux City Consistory High Twelve, past church board member, and also served on the farm service board for several years.

Survivors include his wife, one son, Galen of Ames, one daughter, Mrs. Andrew (Marilyn) Johnson of Brockton, Massachusetts, one brother, Kenneth of Smithland, one grandchild and one step-grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
