Bertha Louise Moore 1886 - 1967

Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha L. Moore, 80, of Oto who died Tuesday, October 10, 1967, were held Friday morning in the First Methodist Church at Anthon with Rev. John Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Peiro-Bethel Cemetery near Anthon under direction of Walter Funeral Home.

Bertha Louise, daughter of Frederick and Ida Burkhart, was born December 17, 1886, near Hornick. She lived in the Holly Springs area with her parents until her marriage to Frank Moore on February 14, 1912, in the home of her parents near Holly Springs. After their marriage they moved to the Anthon vicinity where they farmed for about 50 years until Mr. Moore's death in 1964. She then moved to her son's home where she lived for the remainder of her life.

She was a member of the Methodist Church and the WSCS of the Peiro-Bethel Church.

Survivors include two sons, Victor of Oto, Kenneth of Smithland, four sisters, Mrs. Josie Vermilyea of Sioux City, Mrs. John Weber of Sloan, Mrs. Irving Morse of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and Mrs. Charles Holstrom of Fairbury, Nebraska, one brother, Louis Burkhart of Sioux City, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband and four brothers.
