Mrs. Merrill Crary of Redwood City, California, died November 15, 1978 at Redwood City, California. Funeral services were November 20th in the United Methodist Church in Smithland with Rev. Dale Church officiating.

Mrs. Crary was the former Zella Bruin, a former Smithland resident. She was born June 13, 1903 at Smithland. She married Merrill Crary November 6th, 1923 at Nashua, Iowa and they lived in Smithland until 1956 when they moved to California.

Burial was in Smithland Cemetery.
