R. Mike Streeter, 31, of Sloan was found dead March 16, 1986, following a motorcycle accident near Rodney.

He was born September 5, 1954, in Sioux City, Iowa to Richard Henry and Dora Louise (Skip) (Watson) Streeter. On December 22, 1972, he was married to Denise Reisch at Salix, Iowa. He was employed as a meat cutter with Boyer Provisions and owned and operated the Mike Streeter Cesspool Service at Sloan. He was a lifelong Sloan area resident.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Salix.

Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Rachel and a son, Zachary, both at home; his parents, Rich and Skip Streeter of Brownwood, Texas; three brothers, Steve of Whiting; and Brian and Bruce, both of Brownwood; one sister, Terri of Sloan; and his maternal grandmother, Viola Watson of Sloan.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clifford Mike and Alice Streeter, and maternal grandfather, Gail Watson.

A Funeral Mass was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 1986, at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Salix, Iowa, with Rev. Father Raymond P. Wieling officiating. The Lector was Mark Becker. Mrs. Greg Heisterkamp was the organist.

Bearers were Michael Goodrich, Dave Kendall, Mark Persinger, Bob Lee, Tommy Schwartz and Al Nixa.

Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Salix with arrangements by the Wood Funeral Home, Sloan, Iowa.
