SIOUX CITY | Grace H. Stark, 93, of Sioux City, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Sunrise Retirement Community in Sioux City.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church in Sioux City. Arrangements are with Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes.

Grace was born June 20, 1922, at Hickman, Neb., the daughter of Herman and Grace Boevink. She graduated from Panama (Neb.) High School, and continued her education at Peru (Neb.) State College, receiving her degree in teaching.

Grace married Don Stank Dec. 26, 1943. They lived throughout western Iowa before moving to Sioux City in 1966. Don died Jan. 31, 2002.

Grace was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed camping, playing bridge and her Saturday morning breakfast at Hy-Vee with her friends. Grace liked cooking and baking. She always had homemade cookies in the cookie jar.

Survivors include her three children, Tom (Evelyn) Stark of Blair, Neb., Mary Jane (Steve) Chiles of Minot, N.D., and Jim (Diane) Stark of Casper, Wyo.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Don.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland, Grace United Methodist Church or Sunrise Retirement Community.
