SIOUX CITY | Edward L. Renfro, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on April 15, 2016, in Surprise, Ariz.

A celebration of life is being scheduled for a later date.

Ed was born in Sioux City, on Sept. 7, 1929, to Owen and Rose Renfro. He graduated from Central High School and later attended Morningside College, graduating in 1952.

Ed is survived by three sons, Greg Renfro of Silver City, N.M., Tim Renfro (Barbara) of Surprise, Ariz., and Richard Renfro (Carol) of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; one daugthter, Carrie Ann Hurst (Rick) of Omaha; two brothers, Robert (Bob) Renfro of Lincoln, Neb., and Ron Renfro (Debra) of St. Paul, Minn., along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Anne McDowell Renfro; his father, Owen and mother, Rose Renfro; along with brothers, Wayne Renfro, Dwight Renfro and Jerry Renfro.
