13 May 2008Mary Ellen (Povlsen) Allen, 93, of Charlotte, N.C., formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 10, 2008.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City, with the Rev. Robert L. Kennedy officiating. Arrangements in Charlotte are under the direction of Wilson Funeral and Cremation Service. Local arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.
She is survived by two sons, Doug and Paul, both of Charlotte; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Art Povlsen of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents, Ellen and Mike Povlsen; brothers, George, Bud and Johnny; and sisters, Dalice and Louella.
