SIOUX CITY | Eleanor Nashleanas, 90, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Sioux City, died April 15, 2016.

Memorial services will be held tentatively on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. Patrick Church in Colorado Springs. Graveside services will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery at Sioux City. Condolences may be emailed to condolences@monarchdigital.com.

Eleanor was born in Sioux City on Aug. 28, 1925. Her parents were Adam and Stella (Krakowski) Shuck. She graduated from East High School in June 1943.

She married Peter Nashleanas on May 6, 1944, at St. Francis Church. They were married for 64 years until his death in 2009.

Eleanor was employed for 14 years by the Iowa Department of Human Services in Sioux City. Eleanor and Peter moved to Colorado Springs in 2000, and they joined St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, the Altar Society and the Carmel Guild in Sioux City.

Eleanor is survived by two sons, Michael of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Richard and his wife, Patricia of Colorado Springs; one daughter, Marcia Rissler and her husband, Robert of Branson, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Martin, Michelle, R.J. and Patrick. Her family was the joy of her life.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Emma Shuck, earlier this year.
