SIOUX CITY | Betty Bess (Marsh) Tollefson, 94, formerly of Sioux City died peacefully Friday, April 8, 2016, at her home at the assisted living community of Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge in Westminister, Colo.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Horan and McConaty, 7577 W. 80th Ave., in Arvada, Colo., with a reception to follow.

Betty was born on Jan. 11, 1922, in Sioux City, to Leroy and Anna Belle Marsh. Betty retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Sioux City after 20 years of service. After retirement, she relocated to the Denver, Colo., area to be near her son and daughter.

Betty enjoyed baking delicious and beautiful desserts for the enjoyment of her family and friends. Her Christmas cookie trays were legendary among those who were lucky enough to get one. Betty also liked playing bingo, occasionally playing a slot machine and going to the hair salon every week to have her hair done.

Betty is survived by her son, Terry J. Feret of Breckenridge, Colo.; her daughter, Lynda (Gary) Bradstreet of Madison, Wis.; and her daughter, Lorianne Tollefson of Westminister.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Vilas and Ken Marsh; and sister, Vivian (Marsh) Rowe.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Betty's care team at Keystone Place at Legacy Ridge and The Denver Hospice for their compassion and support.
