SOUTH SIOUX CITY | Viola Mae Greene, 92, of South Sioux City passed away Friday, March 25, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City, with the Rev. Clyde Pritchett officiating. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Becker–Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Viola was born Feb. 15, 1924, in South Sioux City, the daughter of Ralph G. and Argie W. (DeForest) Tebben. She graduated from South Sioux City High School. She was a lifelong resident of South Sioux City, marrying Marlowe Greene Jr. on March 5, 1943, in South Sioux City.

She was employed at Coast to Coast in South Sioux City, and Younker-Martin's in Sioux City. She was a 4-H leader and a member, as well as a member of the Happy Hour Club for 50 years.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Susan "Susie" (Roger) Monk of South Sioux City, and Mary "Pat" (Elwyn) Carr of Cherryville, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Roy Krabbenhoft of Apple Valley, Minn.; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlowe, on April 16, 2005; and three sisters, Phyllis Krabbenhoft, Shirley Meier and Janice Hansen.

Pallbearers will be Nate Dicks, Lee Orr, Rosalind Owens, Brittney Orr, Whitney Gill, KyRaya Gill and Toby Royster.
