Mrs. Eva Stevens, 88, 14th Street, a resident here for the last 73 years, died Friday at a hospital after an illness of six weeks.

Mrs. Stevens was born December 1, 1861 in Minnesota. She was married to Anan H. Stevens February 16, 1886, at Parker, S.D.

Mrs. Stevens was active in various groups affiliated with the First Baptist Church of which she was a longtime member. She also was a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans and the Girls of ’68.

Survivors include a son, Harry of Puyallup, Wash., two daughters, Mrs. Annabelle Bahmey and Mrs. Eva Sengelman of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Benton of Puyallup and Mrs. Cora Strong of Long Beach, Cal., six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

The Westcott-Doughty-Chandler funeral home has charge of arrangements.
