Edward P Canty, 62, 922 Jennings St., was dead on arrival at a hospital Saturday afternoon after being stricken while at work, he was employed by Danny’s Restaurant.

Mr. Canty was born August 22, 1903 in Sioux City. He was a veteran of World War II. He married Neva Shea on June 21, 1951, at Jackson, Nebraska.

Survivors include the widow; a step-daughter, Mrs. Roy Henderson of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. L.W. Wells of St. Joseph, MO.; a half-brother, Phillip Zimmerman of Sioux City; and a grandson.

The body was taken to the Larkin Funeral Home.
