Funeral services for Mrs. Albert E. Gilman, 84, Smithland, former Anthon resident, will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday at the Anthon Methodist Church. The Rev. Keith Scott and the Rev. Wesley Frank will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon, under direction of the Willman Funeral Home, Rodney, Iowa.
Mrs. Gilman, the former Birdie Miller, was born October 4, 1881, at Correctionville. She was married to Albert E. Gilman November 25, 1902, at Anthon. He preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Anthon Methodist Church, the Women’s Society of Christian Service of that church, and Thonna Chapter, Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Doris Hall and Mrs. Mary Ellen Servis, both of Smithland; two sons, L. DeRue of Stewart, Iowa and William of Brooklyn, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
