Mrs. Bert Haight, 63, a former Sioux City resident, died Saturday morning at her home in Washington, D.C., after a seven-month illness.

Mrs. Haight, the former Lucille Kelley, was born February 28, 1933, in Plymouth County, Iowa. She was a resident of Sioux City from 1925 to 1939 when she moved to Washington. She was married to Mr. Haight on October 12, 1929 in Sioux City. Mr. Haight is a former employer of The Sioux City Journal.

Mrs. Haight was a member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Washington, the Ladies of Charity and the Catholic Daughters of America. While in Sioux City she was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Survivors include the widower, three sisters, Mrs. Helen Parkhill, Mrs. Leone Parsons and Mrs. Mayme Grakas all of Sioux City and five brothers, Robert and Bernard Kelley, both of Hinton, Iowa, Louis Kelley of Holstein, Iowa, Leo Kelley of Willmar, Minn., and Ed Kelly of Seattle, Washington.

The body will be sent to the Manning-O’Toole Funeral Home Monday night.
