Mrs. Henry F. Leckband, 88, who reside with a daughter, Mrs. Hans Poulsen, 3419 S. Lakeport St., died Sunday morning at a hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Leckband, the former Augusta Amelia Kamm, was born October 18, 1877, in Berlin, Germany. She came to the United States and Sioux City in 1895, and had lived in the vicinity since. She was married to Henry F. Leckband October 29, 1877, in Sioux City. He died April 19, 1940, at Lawton, where the couple had farmed for many years.

Mrs. Leckband was a member of the first Lutheran Church.

Survivors include Mrs. Poulsen; one son, William of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Freda Olson of Sioux City; one grandson, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Stanley O. Satre will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery under the direction of the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home in Morningside.

Pallbearers are Robert Wilcox, Lester Brosamie, Alton Swanson, Lester Dickson, John Yepsen and Ted Juhl.
