Funeral services for Carleton F. Walling, 53, 2611 Jones St., will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Anthon, Rev. A.M. Conlon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military rites by McNiff Post 389, American Legion of Anthon.

The Rosary will be recited at the Walter Funeral Home in Anthon at 8 o’clock tonight.

Mr. Walling was born Jan. 12, 1913 at Anthon. He died Sunday at an Iowa City hospital. He lived in Anthon, Kansas City and Sioux City most of his life.

He was a veteran of World War II, a member of Monahan Post of the American Legion and the Laurens C.S. Shull Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, both in Sioux City.

He was a retired railroad employee.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Mary Catherine Albin of Bethesda, Md.; two brothers, Armand L. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Francis E. of Sioux City.

Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Anderson died Monday at a Sioux City hospital.
