Moville, Iowa— Carl J. Hansen, 84, of Moville, died Monday at a Kingsley nursing home after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Moville United Methodist Church. The Rev. John A. Dowd will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery at Moville with the McCulloch Funeral Home in charge. Wink-Sparks Post 303, American Legion of Moville will conduct flag presentation ceremonies at the grave.

Mr. Hansen was born Feb. 2, 1893 at Gaarslev, Denmark. He came to the United States in 1901. He married Laura Christensen July 31, 1920, at Ida Grove. They farmed in the Battle Creek, Grand Meadow and Moville areas, retiring to Moville in 1954. Mrs. Hansen died Feb. 12, 1967. Mr. Hansen was a member of the Moville United Methodist Church and Wink-Sparks Post 303, American Legion at Moville.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Hans (Else) Malm of Barrit, Denmark; a brother, Christian of Vejle, Denmark and two nephews.
