Marion Theresa Baker, 63, of Moville, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at her home in Moville.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel, with Dan Thornton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Marion was born in Sioux City on June 12, 1941, the daughter of Albert and Nettie E. (Casaday) Baker. She attended Sioux City public schools. She enrolled in Mid-Step and moved to Moville in the mid 1990s.

Marion loved horseback riding and water walking. She also enjoyed competing in the Special Olympics, where she received numerous awards and medals.

Survivors include a daughter, Kathy and her husband, Jeff DeBoer, of Sioux City; a brother, Albert L. Baker of Sioux City; a granddaughter, Channah DeBoer, of Sioux City; her Mid-Step family; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Cindy Baker; and a sister, Nancy Williams.
