SOUTH SIOUX CITY | Luann Marie Davis, 72, of South Sioux City passed away Friday, Oct. 2, 2015, at a care facility in Hartington, Neb., from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sioux City. The Rev. Tess Panamarow will officiate. Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Floyd Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Luann was born Nov. 14, 1942, in Lincoln, Neb., and adopted by her parents, Norman and Helen (Drum) Tiller. She had a twin brother and a sister. Luann grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School in 1960. After high school, Luann went to work for Sieg and Co. in the office.

Luann met and later married Leo Davis Jr. in 1968. He passed away on Oct. 14, 2003. They had a daughter, Steffanie Davis. Luann eventually left Sieg and Co. and started working at IBP in Dakota City, and remained there until retiring in 2010.

Luann was an avid gardener and loved being in her yard, planting flowers. She even took care of the church garden for years. She loved to go to garage sales and did so every weekend. Luann loved her grandchildren and spent much of her free time with them. She just enjoyed life to the fullest.

Survivors include her daughter, Steffanie DeBoer and her husband, Richard of Mount Dora, Fla.; three grandchildren, Kayla Barclay, Kelsey Barner and her husband, John, and Kody Barclay, all of South Sioux City; two great-grandchildren, Zoe and Jace Barner; her sister, Kathy Tiller of South Sioux City; and her former son-in-law, Dale Barclay of Homer, Neb.

Luann was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Helen Tiller; and her twin brother, Lance Tiller.
