SIOUX CITY | Daniel J. Rogers, 49, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at his residence following a 10-month battle with cancer.

Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be noon until service time Thursday at the funeral home.

Dan was born on June 30, 1966, in Sioux City, the son of Robert Rogers and Rochelle (Brower) Beachy. He attended East High School and received his welders certification from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Dan worked for the Humane Society for eight years and Benson Pest Control for nine years. As a welder, Dan worked for Wilson Trailer, Broy Hill, and AE Trucking in Missouri.

Dan was an avid Denver Broncos fan. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his dog, Spirit.

Survivors include his father, Robert (Patricia) Rogers of Sergeant Bluff; mother, Rochelle (Jack) Beachy of Sioux City; significant other, Laura Roth of Sioux City; daugthers, Samantha Rogers of South Sioux City, Whitney Boggs of Sioux City, Alyson Rogers of Sioux City, and Chianne Rogers of Sioux City; brother, Craig Rogers of Sioux City; sister, Tricia Beachy of Sioux City; stepbrother, Robert Dawdy Jr. of Sergeant Bluff; stepsister, Christina Rogers of Holstein, Iowa; stepsons, Jake, Jonathan, James, and Joshua; and seven grandchildren, Christian, Landon, Kaitlynn, Cydnee, Emma, Paislee, and Angelo Jr.

Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Twila; and one stepsister, Lisa.
