22 November 2007Rose Marie (Cook) White, 75, of Sioux City died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Sunrise Retirement Home.
Services were held Nov. 21 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, where Bishop Mark Walker of Church of the Latter Day Saints officiated. Her body was be cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.
Rose was born Aug. 21, 1932, in San Diego, Calif., the daughter of Lionnel and Lavina (Boyer) White of Stillwater, Okla.
She was married to Don Cook on May 20, 1952. To this union, five children were born. The marriage ended in divorce in 1979. She worked as a laborer in electronics and in hospital work.
She enjoyed fishing, camping and animals, especially her dog, Smokey. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include three sons, Donald (Carol) Cook of Heber, Utah, Thomas (Doreen) Cook of Lawton, Iowa, and Johnny (Edna) Cook of Sioux City; a daughter, Diana (Mark) Hardel of Chino Valley, Ariz.; two brothers, Arthur Gene White of Wittmann, Ariz., and Allen Kenneth (Patricia) Massey of Tennessee; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Cook in September 2003; and a grandson, Baily Hardel on May 13, 2006
