1 August 2000SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Arthur K. Miller, 77, of Santa Monica, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, July 29, 2000, in Santa Monica following a lengthy illness.
There will be no services.
Mr. Miller was born July 17, 1923, in Sioux City. He was a graduate in engineering from the University of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, with the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
He was a longtime machinery dealer in California and owned Art Miller and Associates in Santa Monica.
Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; two daughters and their husbands, Dale Harrison Miller and Robert Hecht, and Marjorie Miller and Carlos Rajo; a son and his wife, Scott Harrison Miller and Leslie Shapiro; two granddaughters, Sara and Anna; and two sisters, Marilyn Friedman (Norman) and Carol Goldberg.
Memorials in his name may be directed to City of Hope West Los Angeles Cancer Center, 11645 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles.
