Mark A. Davis, 53, of Oakland, Neb., formerly of Sioux City, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, Neb.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Lutheran Church in Scribner, Neb., with the Rev. Nicki McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 3 to 5 p.m., at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel in Scribner. Online guestbook at www.hooper-scribner.com.

Mark was born Nov. 15, 1954, in Sioux City to George and Vae "Stauffer" Davis. He was raised in Sioux City. He married Connie Buhrmann on Sept. 30, 1978, at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. After their marriage, the couple lived mostly in North Sioux City, where Mark owned and operated a lawn care and snow removal business. He had been a resident of Good Samaritan Center in Scribner since 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Davis of Oakland; two sons, Zeb Davis and Zach Davis, both of Sioux City; three daughters, Myriah and husband, Jesse Dillon of Gretna, Neb., Tadessa Davis of North Bend, Neb., and Angela Pagan of Bloomsburg, Pa.; grandchildren, Mark and Kiah Davis, Isabelle Davis and Ellery Dillon; his father, George Davis of Sioux City; his mother, Vae Ream of Sioux City; a brother and wife, Derek and Deb Davis of North Sioux City; two half brothers and their wives, Mike and Kathy Ream and Jim and Rhonda Ream, all of Westfield, Iowa; two half sisters and their husbands, Jeanne and Dave Federman of Mineral Point, Wis., and Laura and Scott Sherman of Sioux City; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Harold and Audrey Buhrmann of Scribner; sisters-in-law, Barbara and husband, Alan Fanning of Fremont, Neb., Cindy Buhrmann of Papillion, Neb., Michelle and husband, Mike Stieren of Scribner, and Marsha and husband, Rick Cinelli of Las Vegas, Nev.

Mark was preceded in death by two children, Dawn and Jeremiah Davis; two brothers, Craig and Dante Davis; a sister-in-law, Linda Davis; a brother-in-law, Steve Buhrmann; and stepfather, Gerald Ream.
