11 January 1999Susan "Suzy" Jacobson Anderson, 48, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 1999, following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church at Long Lake, Minn. Spring burial will be in Groveland Cemetery at Minnetonka, Minn. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the David Lee Funeral Home at Wayzata, Minn.
Mrs. Anderson was born Aug. 25, 1950, at Sioux City to Wilbur V. and Shirley M. Jacobson. She was a graduate of East High School in Sioux City in 1968, and Iowa State University in 1972. She was the president and owner of Design Services & Interiors (DSI) of Wayzata, and held a Certificate of Interior Design (CID) from the state of Minnesota. Her design career spanned 20 years, including the 1997 purchase and renovation of an historic downtown Wayzata building housing the DSI offices. Throughout her career, she spoke to students interested in the design industry at local high schools, as well as classes at Dakota Chamber of Commerce, Council of Growing Companies, and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ty C. of Orono, Minn.; two brothers, Dr. James M. and his wife Micki Jacobson of Arlington, Texas, and Daniel D. Jacobson of Golden Valley, Minn.; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church of Long Lake or the American Cancer Society.
