Wanda Z. Reid, 83, of Sioux City died Thursday, May 6, 1999, at her residence.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today

at Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Martha Anderson officiating. Private family burial will be Monday in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Reid was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Schleswig, Iowa, the daughter of Harry H. and Hilda (Branco) Stricker. She graduated from Holstein Public School in Holstein, Iowa.

She married Robert C. Reid on Oct. 23, 1953, in Cherokee, Iowa. She was a homemaker. He died in 1983.

She was a member of Rustin Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was involved in many organizations, and Siouxland Senior Citizen Center.

Survivors include a son, Gary of Sioux City; a brother, Curtis Stricker of Anaheim, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Phyliss Hedberg.
