MOVILLE, Iowa | Paul Waldman, 79, of Moville died Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Embassy Rehab in Sergeant Bluff.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Moville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ed Frank officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Homes in Moville.

Paul was born on Oct. 30, 1935, in Moville, the son of Edward and Dorothy (Waack) Waldman. He grew up in Moville, graduating from Moville High School. Paul joined the U.S. Army and served at Fort Sill, Okla.

Paul was very involved and dedicated his life to the community. He was Mr. Moville. He worked for the city, and was involved in everything from being a member of the Moville Chamber of Commerce to writing a column for The Record.

Paul was always friendly, quick to say hello and loved to visit. He was patriotic and loved music, especially the Gaither Brothers. Paul also enjoyed country music and Cowboy Bob.

Survivors include his twin sister, Pauline Waldman of Sergeant Bluff; a brother, George B. Waldman of Chicago, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Kenneth, Floyd, Jack and Gerald Waldman; and one sister, Elaine Gregory.
