SIOUX CITY | Ruth Virginia Heisler, 92, of Sioux City passed away on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Riverside United Methodist Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Elizabeth Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Ruth was born in Brush, Colo., on March 8, 1922, the daughter of Donald and Mable "Hart" Sheesley. She spent her early years in Colorado.

She was united in marriage with Roy Clark on April 8, 1940, in Onawa, Iowa. The couple then moved to Sioux City in 1944. Roy passed away on April 8, 1964. She then married Vernon Heisler on Feb. 8, 1969, in Sioux City. Vernon preceded her in death on April 18, 2010.

Ruth worked for more than 20 years in the shipping department at Erwin-Weller Fishing Tackle, and was also a homemaker and mother to her children. She enjoyed her garden, flowers and was very family-oriented. She is also remembered for being a master craftsman of crocheting. Ruth was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church, where she was very involved in the church.

Ruth's life and memories will always be remembered by her family, which includes her sons, Robert Clark and his wife, Karen, of Le Mars, Iowa, Ronald Clark and his wife, Sheryl, of Blaine, Minn., and her daughter, Sandra Langhoff, and her husband, Roman, of Sioux City. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lori and Bob Meylor, Linda and Mark Jordan, Larry and Christi Clark, Pam and Charles Birkholz, Gwen Demers, Troy Langhoff, Nickelle and John Hintz, Todd and Dawn Langhoff, Holly and Mark Kleppe, and Rhonda and Travis Bostick, her 27 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; four sisters; four brothers; two granddaughters; one grandson; and one great-grandson
