Margaret G. "Peg" Lindsay, 92, of Sioux City died Sunday, March 9, 2008, at her residence of natural causes.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 12th and Douglas, in Sioux City, with the Rev. Curt Moermond officiating. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Peg was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Ponca, Neb., to Irve Barber and Gertrude (Scollard) Barbour. She graduated from Central High School in 1935 and was a lifetime resident of Sioux City since 1918.

She married Charles D. Lindsay on May 14, 1939, in Sioux City at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

She was a member of the P.E.O. Chapter IL, the Sioux City Garden Club and the Sioux City Women's Club. She was a past member of the Sioux City Symphony Women's committee, Youth Symphony board and the Girl Scouts of America.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Judith and Edward Stribley of Omaha; a daughter and her husband, Janice and Stephen Hartz of Miami, Fla.; a son and his wife, Douglas "Paco" and Carol Lindsay of Truckee, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Bryon Stribley; her twin sister, Lucille Eberly; a brother, Robert Barbour; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Vonnie and John Hess; and a nephew and his wife, John and Marsha Hess.
