14 October 2014SIOUX CITY | Michelle Lynn "Shelly" Cole, 44, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids after a sudden illness.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. John Caughron officiating. Please share a memory of Shelly at www.murdochfuneralhome.com under obituaries.
Michelle was born on Oct. 10, 1970, in Sioux City, the daughter of Douglas and Bonnie Cole. She graduated from North High School in Sioux City, then Kirkwood Community College and received her BA from Mt. Mercy. Shelly worked for Hy-Vee for 20 years.
She was an avid reader and loved dogs. Shelly enjoyed being outdoors and camping.
Survivors include her husband, John Young of Cedar Rapids; mother, Bonnie "Scottie" Poskevich of Sioux City; and grandmother, Marydonna Collins of Mapleton, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her father, Douglas Cole; special stepfather, Ron Poskevich; grandfather, Ralph Collins; and uncle, Michael P. Collins
