SIOUX CITY | Dean A. Lambert, 85, of Sioux City passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at Touchstone Living Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michaels Catholic Church, with the Rev. Roger Linnan officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Dean was born on Oct. 31, 1928, in Sioux City, to Warren "Duke" Sr. and Gladys Lambert. He graduated from Central High School.

He was united in marriage to Ruth Shay on June 10, 1950, in Sioux City. She preceded him in death on July 2, 2011, in Sioux City. With his wife, he owned and operated the family construction business and worked for over 20 years for Younglove Construction.

Dean enjoyed hobby farming, building and flying model planes and was a licensed pilot. He also enjoyed the company of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, James (Jacque) Lambert of Jackson, Neb., Jaqueline McCormac of Conifer, Colo., Jerome (Angela) Lambert of Sergeant Bluff, and Jeffery (Judeka) Lambert of Sioux Falls, S.D.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; two sons, Joseph and John; brothers, Warren Jr. and Neil Lambert; and a son-in-law, Robert McCormac
