2 October 2014SIOUX CITY | Ruth Ann (Scott) Walker, 93, formerly of Sioux City passed on Oct. 1, 2014, in Fountain Hills, Ariz.
Per the wishes of Ruth and Russel, there will be no service. Their ashes will be scattered together in the Black Hills of South Dakota, where the two maintained a cabin for many years.
Ruth was born on Aug. 2, 1921, to William Sanford Scott and Erville Forest Baird in Albia, Iowa. She was married to Russel Allen Walker on July 29, 1945, in Ottumwa, Iowa. Russel preceded her in death on March 9, 2013, after 67 years together. She grew up with her four sisters and lived most of her adult life in Iowa prior to relocating to Arizona.
Ruth is survived by her sisters, Betty Sexton of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Billie Farrington of Ottumwa, Iowa; her son, Allen Scott Walker; daughters, Judith Ann Neumann and Shelly Kay Szrama; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her sisters Marvel Marrow and Doris Carlson also preceded Ruth in death
