SIOUX CITY | Robert "Bob" Hisey, 91, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014.

Abiding by his wishes, there will be no services.

Bob was born on Dec. 9, 1922, to Harold and Margaret Hisey. He was raised in Hutchinson, Kan. He graduated from Hutchinson High School and Morningside College. During World War II, Bob moved to Sioux City to train and became a B-17 navigator.

Bob met LaRene Jones on his first night in town. They married in September 1945 and later had three children, twins, Randy of South Sioux City, and Robby, who passed away on July 4, 1957, and Katie and her husband, David Olson of Sioux City.

After leaving the service, Bob was in real estate and enjoyed playing in the stock market until the time of his death. Bob owned and flew his own airplane for many years. After his retirement from real estate in 1970, Bob moved to Naples. For many years, he spent his summers in Okoboji, Iowa. Bob loved to boat and fish in the Gulf of Mexico.

Bob is survived by his wife, Nellie of Naples; three grandchildren, Becky Vogel and her husband, Rein of Sergeant Bluff, Lori Olson of Olathe, Kan., and Jennifer Cintani and her husband, Brian of Lincoln, Neb.; a great-granddaughter, Eleanor Cintani of Lincoln; a stepson and his two children; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and one brother.
