SIOUX CITY | Morgan Margaret Elizabeth "Margie" (Henderson) Broms, 73, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2014, in Atlanta, Ga, while she was doing one of her favorite things, watching movies together with her three sons. Her early death was attributed to an unsolved neurological disease called MSA, multiple system atrophy.

At her request, there will be an intimate family celebration of life at the Hotel Del Coronado.

Morgan born on June 24, 1941, in Sioux City. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in nursing. It was there that she met and fell in love with her husband, John "Jack" Broms, M.D., and after his orthopedic residency, they moved to Southern California, where they raised their three sons.

Passionate is the one word that describes her life more than any other. She had an infectious smile and laugh and great charisma, which would warm one’s heart immediately. She was passionate about her family and her undying love for her children. She was passionate about her hobby turned career, decorating.

The word decorate is a wholly inaccurate term for how she could transform four walls into an elegant and magical space where people would want to spend time. She decorated yachts, mansions, The View TV set, and numerous pieds-a-terre. She also loved dollhouses, and collected many souvenirs and mementos from her adventures.

Deer Crossing was a very special term to her, representing unique experiences and coincidences that she had encountered. She was passionate about traveling to foreign places. Her last trip was to London via the Concorde, France via the Orient Express, then back to New York on the QEII. She had a very interesting and adventurous life journey, living in Ojai, Ventura, Camarillo, Los Angeles, La Jolla, Del Coronado, Houston, Atlanta, New York, etc.

She also had a great passion for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her thirst for biblical knowledge was unparalleled. She had an insatiable appetite for studying almost every biblical subject published. She had a profound influence on those around her as she truly lived and breathed the Word of God as it was intended. She will be greatly missed, but she is alive and with him now.

She is survived by her three sons, Greg of Atlanta, Ga., Mike of San Diego, Calif., and Matt of Atlanta, and their wives, Allison, Kimberly, and Dawn. She is also survived by her previous husband, Jack Broms; their eight grandchildren; her sister, Jan Kitchen; and brother, Stuart Henderson.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Vohs.
