Mrs. Julia Bergette Salberg, 82, a resident of Sioux City since 1882, died Sunday in her home at 1112 West Second street following a sickness of three weeks. A heart ailment was the cause of death.

Born in Trondhjem, Norway, September 25, 1853, Mrs. Salberg came to the United States at the age of 29. She moved immediately to Sioux City and lived here since.

Mrs. Salberg was a member of the First Lutheran church. Her husband, Rasmus Salberg, died in 1930.

Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Sophie Barth of Tacoma, Wash.; two sons, Einar of Sioux City and Arthur of Martinsburg, Neb., and 10 grandchildren.

The body is at the Nelson-Berger funeral home.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
