Mrs. Mary Falk, 83, resident here for 18 years, died Saturday in her home, 111 Twenty Third, after a long illness.

Born in Sweden July 2, 1855, Mrs. Falk came to the United States at the age of 22 and went to Clinton, Ill., where she lived 7 years. From Clinton she moved to Onawa, Ia., where she made her home 13 years before coming to Sioux City.

She belonged to the First Methodist church. Her husband, John Falk, died 26 years ago.

Surviving are 3 children, Oscar Falk of Onawa, Mrs. Hazel Gowey of Oakland, Cal., and Miss Nellie Falk of Sioux City, and 3 grand-children.

Nelson-Berger funeral home is in charge.
