22 April 1936Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Gallitz, 84, who died Tuesday in her home near Luton, will be held at 4:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Methodist church at Luton. Rev. Wilson Gow will officiate and burial will be in the Climbing Hill cemetery under the direction of W. Harry Christy's Morningside funeral home.
Mrs. Gallitz was born November 5, 1851, in Knoxville, Tenn. She was married to Alexander Holder in 1867 at Knoxville, where she lived until 1883, when she moved to Brown's lake, near Salix.
Mr. Holder died in 1886 and in 1889 she was married to Peter Gallitz in Sioux City. Mr. Gallitz died in 1933.
Mrs. Gallitz was a member of the Luton Methodist church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Doyle of Luton, Mrs. Carrie Stone of Newberry, Ore., and Mrs. Luddie Perrett of Sioux City, 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
