Mrs. J. C. Wade Expires After Sickness of Several Months
Mrs. Elsie Wade, 65, wife of, J. C. Wade, an automobile dealer here, died Wednesday morning in her home at 2720 Nebraska street following a sickness of several months.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon in W. Harry Christy's funeral chapel in
Morningside with the Rev. G. D. Serrill officiating. Internment will be in Graceland Park cemetery.Mrs. Wade was born in Syracuse, N. Y., July 11, 1870, and when a child, with her parents moved to Elk Point, S. D. She attended the Elk Point schools and was married to Mr. Wade in Sioux Falls, July 22, 1890. Following their marriage they moved to Akron. They came to Sioux City 19 years ago.
Active in church and civic circles, Mrs. Wade was one of the founders of the Christian church at Akron. She was a member of the Christian church here, the Women's Relief corps and the Past Presidents club of the Women's Relief corps.
Besides her widower, Mrs. Wade is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace Kingsbury and Mrs. Jessie Pfening of Sioux City, and a sister, Mrs. Jessie A. Garrits of Wentworth, S. D.
