Albert Tague 1912 - 1996

Albert Tague, 83, of Marshall, Ark., a former Sioux City resident, died Sept. 19, 1996, in Harrison, Ark., following a short illness.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Christy, Smith & Hockenberry Morningside Funeral Home with the Rev. Alex T. Washington officiating. The ashes will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Thursday until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Tague was born Dec. 21, 1912, in Climbing Hill, Iowa, the son of Andrew and Caroline (Barnes) Tague. He lived in the Sioux City area most of his life.

On Jan. 24, 1942, he married Blanche Cary in South Sioux City.

He retired from Cargill Co. after 28 years of service and then worked part time at the Sioux City Grain Exchange until moving to Arkansas in 1984.

Mr. Tague was an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Myrna Rupe of Marshall, Ark., and Alberta and her husband, Richard Nagle, of Sioux City; a brother, Marion Tague and his wife, Darlene, of Denver, Colo.; two nephews and three step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Francis.
