REMSEN, Iowa — Ila G. Griep, 88, of Remsen, formerly of Moville, Iowa, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2000, at Happy Siesta Health Care Center.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Rock Branch United Methodist Church in Rock Branch, Iowa, with the Rev. Kent Kastler officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery in Rock Branch.

Visitation will be 5 to 8, p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at the Christy-Smith McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville.

Miss Griep was born July 12, 1912, in Woodbury County, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Edna (Carney) Griep. She attended Wolfcreek Township Country School and attended high school in Moville. She moved into Happy Siesta Health Care Center in 1985.

She was a member of Rock Branch United Methodist Church and the WCTU.

She enjoyed walking, all out-door activities and driving the car.

Survivors include a brother and his wife, Russell and Louise Griep of Moville; a niece; and a nephew.
