15 April 1946Mrs. Rose Kaplan, 62, died last Monday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe Kaiman, 2116 McDonald street, after a long illness She had resided in Sioux City 4 years.
She was born June 1, 1883, in Minsk, Russia. After arriving in America, she came directly to Sioux City. She was the wife of the late Paul Kaplan of the Pioneer Iron works and they resided at 1109 W. Second street. They were married 42 years ago.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. David D. Kaplan of Sioux City and Matthew of Chicago; four daughters, Mrs. Ben Chasen and Mrs. Kaiman, both of Sioux City, and Mrs. Louis Kuklin and Miss Sally, both of Neola, Ia.; two brothers, Ben and Charles Raskin, both of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mrs. Sam Stepakoff of Los Angeles and Mrs. Charles Barricks of Sioux City.
The Manning funeral home has charge of arrangements.
