13 April 2014MOVILLE, Iowa | Alvin Heinse, 92, of Moville, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Kingsley (Iowa) Nursing and Rehab Center.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery-Midway, rural Battle Creek, Iowa, with the Rev. Randy Cormeny officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. today at Carlsen Funeral Home in Le Mars, Iowa. Condolences may be extended through www.carlsenfuneralhome.com.
Alvin Heinse was born Nov. 24, 1921, on a farm near Midway, Iowa, to Louis A. and Helena (Schumann) Heinse. He was raised on a farm near Moville and attended country school near his home.
Alvin farmed and raised cattle and hogs south of Moville with his brother, Willie, for many years. In the mid-1990s, he retired and continued to live on the farm.
Alvin loved his life on the farm and enjoyed the companionship of his dogs and cats. In November 2005, he made his home at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and eight siblings, Louis, William, Carl, Alfred, Paul, Ruth Benson, Helen Ellis and Alice Gates.
