6 December 2003Hobert S. Camerer, 85, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2003, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. David Fechner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 117 of Ponca, Neb. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mr. Camerer was born March 30, 1918, in Sergeant Bluff, the son of Sylvester and Laura (Christensen) Camerer. He graduated from Sergeant Bluff High School.
He married Minnie Stark on April 26, 1941, in Venice, Calif. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. He was the owner of Avenue Motors Car Lot for 30 years.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 117 of Ponca.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; and a brother, Donald Camerer of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen; and a sister, Doris.
Pallbearers will be Don Schultz, Ralph Schroeder, Dave Watchorn, Dave Hogan, Craig Tharp and Ray Mayner.
