29 March 2002Robert M. Moughan, 89, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
There will be no services or visitation. The body was cremated. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.
Mr. Moughan was born May 8, 1912, in Watkins, Minn., the son of James and Ella (Krueger) Moughan.
He married Lucille A. Foster on Aug. 25, 1936, in Vermillion, S.D. He worked for Wilson Trailer in Sioux City for 11 years. He drove taxi cabs in Sioux City for over 50 years, during that time, he owned and operated Cab's Incorporated for eight years.
He loved driving cabs, bowling, reading and dogs. He was very much loved by his wife of 65 years and his three daughters. He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jean Ballantyne and her husband, Rich ,of Sioux City, Barbara Prochello of Sioux City and Patricia Paradise and her husband, Jim, of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Veronica Wells of Sioux City; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William J. and Patrick K. Moughan; and two sisters, Mae Cook and Irene Gaul.
