Sioux City – Edna M. Hoffman, 86, of Sioux City went to be with her Savior Saturday, July 18, 2009, while at Indian Hiss Nursing and Rehab.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Leo Kostizen officiating. Per her wishes, the body was cremated. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the directionof mey Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Edna was born Sept. 16, 1922, to Carl and Hulda (Kern) Stoltze. She grew up attended school and lived in Sioux City all her life. She married Irvin C. Hoffman on Dec. 30, 1945. The had three sons. The couple made their lifelong home in Sioux City.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her sons, Paul of Cave Creek, Ariz., Jim and Gwen of Fayetteville, N.C. and Warren and Linda of Prescott, Ariz. eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Carl and Cora Stoltze of Hinton, Iowa, and Bob and Elaine Stoltze of Ute, Iowa, tow sisters, Eva Wicket, of West Point, Neb. and Ida Wilson of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Vera Stoltze of Sioux City; and many nieces, nephews,grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was preced in death by her parents, her husband, Irvin, a brother, Henry; sisters, Hilda O’Connell and Louise Caspter; a daughter-in-law, Chris, a granddaughter, Jill; a niece, Diane, and nephews, Tom, Mark,and Billy.

In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Alzheimer’s research.
