ONAWA, Iowa | Carla "Curly" (Miller) Reiling, 54, of Onawa passed away Aug. 20, 2013, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Rush Family Care Service in Onawa, with the Rev. Patrick O’Kane, celebrant. Burial will be in Onawa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with a Scripture wake service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online for the family at www.rushfamilycareservice.com.

Carla Kristine was born on Feb. 2, 1959, in Vermillion, S.D., the daughter of Ralph and Dora Mae (Girard) Miller. She grew up in South Dakota, Bismarck, N.D., and Burlington, Iowa, before the family made their home in Onawa. She graduated from West Monona High School in 1977.

Curly and James "Jim" Ingram were united in marriage in November 1981. To this union, two daughters were born. Curly and Roger Reiling were united in marriage on Nov. 10, 2004, in Onawa. She worked at the Onawa Cafe for more than 30 years. She would know the customers' orders as soon as they walked in the door. She loved her job and the people she served. She also worked as a certified nurse’s aide at Burgess Memorial Hospital.

She enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, Danish plates, music, jewelry, her cats and dogs, riding the Harley, and time spent with her family and grandchildren.

Curly is survived by her husband, Roger Reiling of Onawa; two daughters, Catherine (Christopher) Bainbridge of Sioux City, and Christina (Ryne) Barker of Beaufort, S.C.; four grandchildren, Lauren and Juliet Bainbridge of Sioux City, and Tanner and Reese Barker of Beaufort; her mother, Dora Mae Miller of Onawa; eight siblings, David (Valorie) Miller of Golden, Colo., Carol (Bill) Thompson of Sioux City, Dwight (Mari) Miller of Onawa, Douglas (Cindy) Miller of Sioux City, Duane (Teresa) Miller of Onawa, Catherine (John) Webster of Whiting, Iowa, Darl (Elaine) Miller of Onawa, and Daniel (Wendy) Miller of Sioux City; many nieces and nephews; and numerous extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James "Jim" Ingram; her father, Ralph Miller; her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Kristine Miller; and her maternal grandparents, Edward and Eveline Girard.
