SIOUX CITY | Beverly J. Ernst, 82, of Sioux City passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013, at her residence.

Per her wishes, the body was cremated. Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Thursday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Beverly was born on Feb. 27, 1931, in Sioux City, to Rueben and Lois (Winter) Robins. She attended Sioux City schools.

She was married to Earl J. Ernst on March 21, 1951 in South Sioux City. She worked as a cashier for Sunshine Foods on Gordon Drive for many years and later for Dollar General.

Beverly enjoyed camping with her husband at the Little Sioux Campground for the last 30 years. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her three sons, Terry (Joan) Ernst of Peachtree City, Ga., Gail (Joni) Ernst of Red Oak, Iowa, and Monty (Kim) Ernst of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, Ami Ernst, Tony Ernst, Regina Ernst, Jennifer (John) Medina, Elizabeth Ernst, Andrew Ernst, and Nathan (Ali) Ernst; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Dean) Warrick of California, and Phyllis (AJ) Grego of Texas; a brother, Robert (Stacy) Robins of Florida; and a brother-in-law, Cliff Goodrich of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patty Goodrich.
