ANTHON, Iowa - Donna M. LaFleur, 78, of Anthon went into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at the Holstein Good Samaritan Center in Holstein, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Anthon, with the Rev. Terry Roder officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Sioux City. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home of Anthon is in entrusted with the arrangements. Donna Marie (Kleber) LaFleur graced the world with her presence on Sept. 8, 1934, the daughter of Robert and Mary (Conley) Kleber, in Wisner, Neb. The family moved to Jefferson, S.D., and Donna graduated with the Class of '52 from Jefferson High School. She attended Southern State Teachers College and graduated in 1953.

She was a school teacher when she married Rene P. LaFleur in Jefferson. To this union, seven children were born. Rene passed away on Dec. 30, 1993. Donna lived for a time in Sioux City before moving to Anthon.

Throughout her adult life, Donna held numerous jobs. While she enjoyed teaching, working in sales, being a secretary and waitressing, she treasured her many years of being called Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma.

Donna was a member of the Altar Society at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Jefferson. She loved to dance, play Bingo and bowl.

Survivors left to treasure their many memories of Donna include two sons, Timothy LaFleur of Cottage Grove, Minn., and Todd LaFleur and his wife, Monica of Berlin, Germany; four daughters, Vicki Schwarz and her husband, Walter of Anthon, Jane Evert of Rochester, Minn., Linda Lampson of Sioux City, and Angela Scott of Ormand Beach, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Michael Kleber of California; and two sisters, Beth Ford of Colorado, and Diane Raynor of Georgia.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Kleber; four brothers, Joseph, Robert Jr., Gene and David; two sisters, Roma Kalahan and Janet Girard; and a son, Toby Robert.
