Le Mars, Iowa - Raymond L. Mohrhauser, 73, of Le Mars, Iowa, died on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars. Mass of Christian Burial took place on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. Monsignor Gerald Lyon officiated.

Burial followed at Calvary Cemetery in Le Mars. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 26, 2002, at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Raymond Lewis Mohrhauser was born on March 31, 1928, at Danbury, Iowa, the son of George and Lena Mohrhauser. He married Jean Bohlke on December 12, 1969 at Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Le Mars. Ray owned and operated Mohrhauser Construction for 35 years. He retired in 2000.

During his retirement Ray drove a bus for Siouxland Regional Transit. He enjoyed the friendships he developed with his clients. Ray's family will remember him as a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and cherish his sense of humor. He always enjoyed playing, with the grandchildren. Ray also enjoyed watching college sports, especially Iowa and ISU Basketball.

Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean of Le Mars; a son Jeff and his wife Rene and their children Katie and Sam of Sioux City, Iowa; a daughter Teresa and her significant other Larry Luschen and their children Angie Neal and Peter Luschen of Merrill, Iowa, Holly Luschen and Heidi Hester of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; a son Coby and his wife Rhonda and their sons Tyler and Trevor of Orange City, Iowa; sisters Ann Pithan and Maggie Pollock; brothers Barney and Richard Mohrhauser.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters 011ie Collins, Jennie Shell and Bernadine Conner; brothers George, Albert, Emmet and Charlie Mohrhauser
